My mother taught me this trick: if you repeat something over and over again it loses its meaning, for example homework homework homework homework homework homework homework homework homework, see? Nothing. Our existence she said is the same way. You watch the sunset too often it just becomes 6 pm you make the same mistake over and over you stop calling it a mistake. If you just wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up one day you’ll forget why.
Alston and I at the Biltmore House, Asheville, NC for Christmas time. I planned this trip as his birthday present, and it was great! We took the private “friends and family” tour. And took a walk through the garden to the Bass pond.
I’m so happy that Alston got to come back to North Carolina this weekend. We had such an eventful weekend. And I love how our pumpkin turned out! We watched the new Toy Story of Terror short and roasted pumpkin seeds as we sketched our original design and carved out our masterpiece- Mickey’s spooky sorcerer hat!
Being beautiful is more than how many boys you can get to look at you or how much makeup you can wear. It’s about what you live for. It’s about what defines you. It’s about the heart that you have and what makes you special. It’s about those little quirks that make you, you. It’s about knowing that you are a creation of God, created in His image. It’s about shining for Him, no matter what else is going on around you. It’s about going against the flow and living out what you honestly think. And that is a beautiful thing.
